Katherine Blocker Brown

Katherine "Susie" B. Brown, 71, of North Charleston, SC, wife of James "Jim" Walter Brown, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 31, 2015. Her funeral service will be held Monday, January 4, 2016, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Susie was born November 7, 1944 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Charles Taylor Blocker, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Wiggins Blocker. She was a retired supply clerk for the Polaris Missile Facility and also retired from the Charleston County Sheriff's Department. Susie was a member of Journey Baptist Church and North Charleston Chapter #100, O.E.S.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Melody Brown of Summerville; her sisters-in-law, Annette Blocker of Moncks Corner and Virginia Blocker of Great Falls, SC; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers: Charles T. Blocker, Jr., James F. "Red" Blocker, Paul J. "Rascus" Blocker, and Donald J. "Joe" Blocker.
