Karen Jeanne Mylin Smith, 56, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Robert Leon Smith entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 6, 2013. Her Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 2:00 p.m.. Inurnment will be at a later date at New Danville Mennonite Churchyard in New Danville, PA. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel. Karen was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1956 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, daughter of Willis Keen Mylin and Anne Sweigart Mylin. She earned her Bachelors degree in business from the College of Charleston. Karen was a member of the Marina Variety Store family for over 28 years and the Charleston Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary. She loved fishing, sailing, children, the sun and sand. She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby, of Charleston, SC; siblings; Suzanne Mylin Thigpen (Johnny) of North Charleston, SC, Willis K. "Bill" Mylin (Tricia) of James Island, SC, Vickie Mylin Walling of Cookeville, TN and Deborah Mylin Pross of Paterson, NJ; nieces and nephews, J. Renee Thigpen, M. Rebekah Thigpen (Ryan Fergus), Willie Mylin (Amy), Ali Mylin Otherson (Shaun), Andrew Mylin (Julie), A. Melissa Walling-Clark, Tony Walling and Jeffrey Pross; great nieces and nephews, Randall Peagler, Haley Singer, Jackson Mylin Clark, Maxwell Clark and great great niece and nephew, Jaden Peagler and Caydence Peagler.
