Karen Cole Rossin

On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, Karen Cole Rossin, 70, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest. Karen was the widow of the late Philip Stearns Rossin and loving mother to two children, two grandchildren and her beloved dogs.

Karen was born June 12, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana, daughter of the late Cole Lovelace and the late Alma Blanche Hill Lovelace. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Karen was blessed over her lifetime with an abundance of love and admiration from so many people; devoted family members, friends, coworkers and medical care workers who were touched by her beauty, kindness, sense of humor, love of animals, impressive strength, and extraordinary bravery.

Karen is survived by her son, David and his dogs of Charleston, SC and daughter Emily and her husband Patrick of Charleston, SC and their children, Henry and Samuel. Additionally, she is survived by two step-children, Michael of Shenzhen and Mary Elizabeth of Cincinnati along with their families; two sisters, Mary Jo Williamson, Nancy Bassett and brothers Daniel Lovelace and Lee Call along with their families.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and family Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A reception will follow the service.
