Karan Ruth Lewis, 64, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, surrounded by those she held closest to her.

Her Graveside Service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Karan was born March 3, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Lenzy Russell Lewis and Annie Lucille Lewis. Karan had a personality that was impossible to forget. She loved to laugh, loved working in her garden, and had a fiercely protective heart when it came to the people she loved. She had a quick wit, a mischievous streak, and a way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around her. She was also proud of her work as both a nurse and respiratory therapist, dedicating her career to caring for others. Above all, Karan loved her family deeply and unapologetically.

She is survived by her daughter, Lacy Jane Arnold (David Arnold); her son, Lenzy Russell Lewis; her loving and devoted partner, Gene “Iggy” Isgett; her sisters, Kimberly Lewis and Kathy Schnurr; Tom Harvey, who raised her children with her as his own; and her beloved dog, Charlie.

In addition to her parents, Karan was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Reardon.
