Entered into eternal rest on the morning of Friday, October 14, 2011, June F. "Jude" Panella of North Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, Monday, October 24, 2011, at 7:00 pm. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Monday, October 24, 2011, from 5:30 until the time of the service.
Jude was born June 18, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Joseph Frank Panella and Mary Elizabeth Dye Etheridge. She was an attendant at the North Charleston Coliseum since the day it opened, assisting the disabled. She received great joy in helping others, loved her job and was a fun character; she was always dressing up. Jude attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Eager (Sandy) of Anaheim, CA and William J. Eager (Tracey) of Chesapeake, VA; a daughter, Christina Kirkbride of North Charleston; four grandchildren, Jason Davidson of Ladson, Charlotte Hanlon of Summerville, J. D. Dombrowski of Summerville and Steven A. Kirkbride of North Charleston; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Ricky Panella of Jacksonville, FL, Caroline Dukes of GA, Jovita Burrell of Clearwater, FL and Michael Panella of Hampton, VA; her children extend special thanks to many who helped with their mother's care: Aleesa Rogers, Betty Higgins, Mary Willis, Debra Jefferson, John and Grace Trinkle and other neighbors and friends including her extended coliseum family who cared for Jude during her illness.
