Julius Grey Pelt, 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 11, 2023. His graveside service will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm before the service in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.  

Julius was born June 6, 1944, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, son of the late A.G. Pelt and the late Addie Mae Strickland Pelt. He graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Julius was an involved member of Millbrook United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC. A devoted husband and father, Julius loved N.C. State athletics and was also a lover of nature and God's creations.

He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Pelt Barnhart (Michael Wallace) of Mount Pleasant, SC; cousin, Annette Banks Allen of Rocky Mount, NC; sister-in-law, Kaye Rogers Ritchie (James) of Jacksonville, FL; and cousin, Kathy Underhill (Chris) of Cary, NC. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sharon Lee Pelt.
