Julius Henry Walker Guerard

Julius Henry Walker Guerard, widower of Martha Kirk Guerard, entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 18, 2010. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Saturday, May 22, 2010, at eleven o'clock. Interment, Churchyard. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Friday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Guerard was born June 24, 1931, in Charleston, SC, the son of Russell Bogert Guerard and Margaret Lowndes Walker Guerard. He was a graduate of The College of Charleston and served with the United States Air Force during Korea. Mr. Guerard retired from Westvaco Corporation as Labor Relations Director. He was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, The Carolina Yacht Club, The Charleston Club and The Society of Colonial Wars. He is survived by one son: Julius Henry Walker Guerard, Jr. (Beatriz) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters: Margaret G. Lachmayr (Philip) of Fayetteville, GA and Susan G. Cale (Bobby) of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren: Carolyn, Robert, Julius, Hannah, Kirk, Lori, Emilia and Sophia. He is predeceased by his daughter Marion Guerard Glasscock and his brother, Theodore Bogert Guerard.
