Juliette Rodgers Nicks, 92, of James Island, South Carolina, former wife of Hugh W. Rodgers and widow of Edward L. Nicks, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 11, 2013. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the home of her son, Richard Rodgers, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Juliette was born July 2, 1921, in Holyoke, MA, daughter of the late Magloire J. Laplante and Regina Renaud Laplante. She served in the United States Coast Guard from 1943 - 1945. Juliette was a longstanding member of the Charleston Chorale Society, the Charleston Lions Auxiliary and also Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Folly Beach, South Carolina.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda J. Rodgers of James Island, SC and Shirley S. Rodgers (Hugh Jones) of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Stephen F. Rodgers (Debbie) of James Island, SC and Richard W. Rodgers of Johns Island, SC, thirteen grandchildren, Jeff, Nancy, Mark, Stephanie, Jennifer, Allison, Jason, Jessica, Winnie, Aaron, Tomas, Jonathan, Natalie; ten great grandchildren, James, Jacob, McKenzie, Anthony, Wraith, Kaylin, Rex, Lucas, J. J., Isabella, and another great grandchild due in April.
