Julie El Fassy Niess, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Martin H. Niess entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Julie was born September 23, 1932 in Casablanca, French Morocco, daughter of Samuel El Fassy and Clara Abenhain El Fassy. She was a member of K.K. Beth Elohim Temple.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda N. Joseph (James) of Hodges, SC, Barbara N. Paulausky (Daniel) of Gurnee, IL, Diane N. Taylor (Charlie) of Yonges Island, SC and Lisa N. Currie of Charleston, SC; son, Richard Niess of Michigan City, IN; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Solomon El Fassy (Racheal) of Tel Aviv, Israel and Albert De Fassy of Montreal, Canada; and sisters, Alice Gootee of Baltimore, MD, Dody Elankry (Jackie) of Haifa, Israel, and Sarita Bendayan (Myer) of Montreal, Canada.
