Julie Denise Carter

Julie Denise Carter, 72, of Folly Beach, South Carolina, wife of Robert Spain, peacefully entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Julie was born April 28, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Wesley Eugene Carter and Sydney Hahn Carter. Julie and her husband lived on Folly Beach for 40 years, where she enjoyed sitting out on the deck and walking the beach. She loved playing with her grandchildren and traveling with loved ones.

Julie is survived by her children, Gregory Spain (Heather) and Rebecca Spain (Zachary Schnee) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Willow Spain and Lewis Schnee; and sister, Ada Arthur of Charleston, SC.
