Julian Dempsey Litchfield

On the evening of October 25, 2011, Julian Dempsey Litchfield, 89, husband of the late Lillian Bonnett Litchfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a member of South Charlotte Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, now residing in Charlotte with his son and daughter-in-law.
The relatives and friends of Julian D. Litchfield are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, October 28, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 1:00 until time of the service.
Mr. Litchfield was born on December 18, 1921 in Macedonia, South Carolina, son of the late Andrew Lee Litchfield and Grettie Gaskin Litchfield. He served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Company as a Service Representative.
He is survived by his one daughter, Kim R. Carter of Raleigh, NC; one son, Ted Litchfield (Gayle) of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Gil Truesdale, Craig Litchfield, Janet Cooperider, Shea Cox and Kristi Koller and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Peggy Truesdale, two brothers and one sister. Memorials may be made to South Charlotte Baptist Church, 12416 Lancaster Hwy., Pineville, NC 28134.
