Julian Lerner, 74, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Nancy Lynn Hersh Lerner, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Sunday from 1:30 until time of service.
Julian was born July 15, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, son of David Lerner and the late Sylvia Breslauer Lerner. He was a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and spent his career as a Sales Executive in the textile industry. Julian served in U.S. Navy Intelligence for 27 years and retired as a Captain. He enjoyed playing golf, helping run his wife's shop, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy H. Lerner of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughter, Jaymie Britt Solomon and her husband, Jeffrey, of Atlanta, GA; son, Scott David Lerner and his wife, Melissa, of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Max and Samantha Lerner and Hayden and Reese Solomon; and one sister, Edith Lerner Reese of Novelty, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
