Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 13, 2011, Julian Malcolm Dyches, husband of the late Ruth Phillips Dyches. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Thursday, November 17, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Wednesday afternoon from 5 until 7 pm.
Mr. Dyches was born on October 20, 1934 in Hilda, SC, son of the late James Lyde and Bertha Rowell Dyches. He was a retired Truck Driver with Southeastern Freight Lines, a founding member of Sycamore Baptist Church and was a Mason and member of the Union Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #4.
Surviving are his son, Darwin Dyches and wife Maggie of Williston, SC, daughter, Cindy Owen and husband Roger of Charleston, foster daughter, Patty Sandifer Baskin and husband Tony of Walterboro; and a special companion, Emma Skibba. "Pop" is also survived by his four grandchildren, Charlene and husband Tracy, Robyn, Amanda, Mary Kate; and eight great grandchildren, Julian, Sarah, Cara, Aaliyah, Layla, Tristen, John and Mackenzie.
