Julian "Bunny" Newman Morse, Jr., 68, of McClellanville, South Carolina, husband of Charlotte Hampton Thames Morse died Sunday, April 16, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Wilson Cemetery, 761 Wilson Cemetery Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Bunny was born June 20, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Julian Newman Morse and the late Eugenia Nelson Coon Morse. He was a former basketball coach for Archibald Rutledge Academy and won the State Championship in 1997 in South Carolina. He served as a Civil Engineer for several dredging company for many years prior to joining the International Longshoreman for Local Union 1771 as a checker. He was a member of McClellanville United Methodist Church and loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Morse of McClellanville, SC; daughter, Julia Anna Burbage of Summerville, SC; son, Julian Wesley Morse (Lacy) of McClellanville, SC; sister, Kay Franklin of Delaware; four grandchildren, Cody, Preston, Henley and Marvin.
