Julia Mae Moore

Julia Mae Moore, 79, of Ladson, SC, died Saturday, June 18, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Our Father's House, 2242 Wren Street at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held at Oakley Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheville, NC. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Julia was born January 20, 1937 in Asheville, NC, one of five children of the late Norman Hayes and the late Ora Mae Worley Hayes. Julia retired from the Department of Defense as a budget analyst and was a Post and Courier paper carrier. She was a member of Our Father's House and an Atlanta Braves fan. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Haupt of Ladson, SC; son, Ronnie Moore of Stuart, FL; four grandchildren: Kaitlin Nye (Mark) of Ladson, SC, Kenneth "Matt" Matthew Beanland (Katisha) of Charleston, SC, Nicholas Moore of Stuart, FL and Jacob Moore of Stuart, FL; brother, Myles Hayes (Jackie) of Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Hayes and Edwin Hayes; and her sister, Norma Carroll.
