Julia Deen

Julia Carol Deen, 79, of Ladson, SC entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 3, 2011, in a local hospital.

Born February 19, 1932 in Awendaw, SC; she was one of nine children of Harry Nelson and Hannah Victoria White Nelson. She was married to Billy Deen of North Charleston, SC for 42 years.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her four children: Laura Deen Stallings (Robin Middleton) of Ravenel, SC; Louise Deen Causey (Robert N. Causey) of Summerville, SC; William T. Deen (Michelle Copley) of James Island, SC and Susan Deen Stock (David Stock) of Ladson, SC; grandchildren: Michael L. Stallings (Melissa Cole Stallings); Tony W. Stallings (Emily Lorance Stallings); Julie E. Stallings (Patrick Kennerty); Charlie D. Stallings (Jenny Boerman); Lydia Causey Erickson (Will Erickson); Robyn Causey; Jessalyn Stock; Rachel Ann Limehouse; six great-grandchildren; brother, Brittan Nelson; two sisters, Harriett Chicos and Edwina Nelson.

The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Mt. Pleasant Chapel Tuesday, December 6, 2011 between 6:00 and 8:00pm.
