Judy Detyens Stewart

Judy Detyens Stewart, 64, wife of David Loy Stewart of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Monday, August 20, 2012. The relatives and friends of Judy Stewart are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, August 24, 2012 in East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 23, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Judy was born on March 12, 1948 in Conover, North Carolina, daughter of the late William J. Detyens and Marjorie Greene Detyens. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends and she was very active in Sullivan's Island Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, David Loy Stewart, of Mount Pleasant, SC; three sons, David Loy Stewart, Jr. (Sharon), William Jason Stewart (Michelle) and Jonathan Gregg Stewart (Kristin) all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two brothers, William R. Detyens of Santee, SC and William J. Detyens, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister, Margaret Lamb of Huger, SC; and seven grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Hasse Detyens and a sister Mary Lambrakos.
