Judy Marie Boyett Alcorn, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late John W. Alcorn entered into eternal rest Friday, December 8, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 1605 Harbor View Road at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Judy was born September 2, 1938 in Arcadia, Florida, daughter of the late Thomas David Boyett and Minie Minton Smith Boyett. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, bowling and golfing. Judy also loved gardening, arts and crafts, ceramics and people. She never met a stranger. Nothing ever kept Judy down, surviving cancer three times and a quadruple bypass, finally losing her battle with Alzheimer's. Heaven has truly gained another Angel and she will be sorely missed.

Judy was a Teaching Dental Assistant at MUSC College of Dental Medicine for 31 years in various roles. She served her country in the United States Air Force in Air Operations for the 437th Airlift Wing and was a decorated Veteran of Desert Storm. Judy was a licensed cosmetologist and was a founding board member of Carolina Children's Charity.

Judy is survived by her son, Thomas D. Alcorn and his wife, Tracy Haney Alcorn; her grandson, John Francis Alcorn; and many other relatives and friends.
