Juanita "Rose" Story

Juanita "Rose" Story, 81, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Gordon Douglas Story Sr. entered into eternal rest Monday, June 30, 2025. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025 in the Cathedral, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Rose was born August 17, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Joseph Centonze and the late Elsie Powers. Her gift was making people laugh and always making you feel better. She was connected to God's Girl Group. Rose was a member of Booster Clubs and always supported her children's sports. Mostly she just loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children: Gordon "Douglas" Story, Jr. (Susan) of North Charleston, and Michael Craig Story (Karen) of North Charleston; grandchild, Gordon Douglas Story, III; great-grandchildren: Morgan Lawson and Tyler Lawson; siblings: Anne Centonze of North Charleston, Barbara Craig (Moody) of North Charleston, Deborah Johnson (Russell) of Moncks Corner; and many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by stepfather, John Morris Jacobs; siblings: Josephine Gilbertson, Major Centonze, Cecelia Chestnut and John M. Jacobs; and grandchild, Natasha Story Lawson.
