Juanita Haley McManus

Juanita Haley McManus, 81, of Hanahan, South Carolina, widow of George "Gus" A. McManus entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 10, 2019. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.

Born in 1937 in Manning, SC, she was the daughter of Abe and Lucy Haley, and sister of Edmond Gray, Leland Haley, and Gene Haley.Nita graduated from North Charleston High School and became a dedicated housewife and mother. Later she became a self-taught bookkeeper and worked in the family company, M and M Electric. Matching her husband's ambition and can-do attitude, she inspired family and friends.

Nita is survived by three children Debra Furman (Edwin) of Ladson, Michael (Rosemary) of Hanahan, and Randy (Kim) of Hanahan and her three grandchildren Tamatha Lynn of Summerville, George Edwin of St. George, and Ryan Christopher of North Charleston, and six great-grandchildren Alexis Hargett, Scarlett Furman, Dawn Malmrose, Victoria Furman, Ryleigh Furman, and Trey Furman.
