Driggers Juanita Miles Driggers, 80, of North Charleston, SC, formerly of Lake City, SC died Thursday, April 13, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:30. There will be a funeral service at 3:00 pm in Floyd Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lake City with visitation beginning at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Lake City, SC. Rev. Erik Grayson, Rev. Jimmy Floyd and Bobby Floyd will be officiating.
Juanita was born March 3, 1937 in Lake City, SC, daughter of the late Broach Miles and the late Lizzie Pearl Miles. She was a devoted wife for 61 years. Her career as a military wife took her to Alaska, Maryland, Hawaii, Washington DC, California, Washington State and Florida. She was a loving mother of three children, grandmother of four grandchildren and great-grandmother of two dearly loved great-grandchildren. Juanita was a faithful and longtime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, was active with the United Methodist Women and active in her Sunday School Class. Juanita loved to travel. She enjoyed cruising around the world with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Arlen Driggers of the home; a daughter, Sybil Banford (David) of Durham, NC; a son, Richard Darren (Pam) of Mauldin, SC; grandson, Brett Banford (Kristin) of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Ashley Quamme (Clayton) of Evans, GA, Emma and Sarah Driggers of Mauldin, SC; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Abigail of Evans, GA; and beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews in the Charleston Area. Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Terrance Driggers.
The family wants to thank their special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Thigpen and Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Moody for the special kindnesses shown during her illness.
