Joyce Wanda Lock Roberts

Joyce Wanda Lock Roberts, 77, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Harold Doebler and former spouse of William C. Roberts entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 12, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in First Baptist Church of Johns Island, 3483 Maybank Hwy. at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Joyce was born November 2, 1940 in Talco, Texas, and grew up in Marysville California. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Lock and Beulah Pauline Cooper Lock. Joyce was a retired self-employed cleaning business owner. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was very active in her church.

She is survived by her daughter, Sondra M. Roberts Bertrand and husband Gary R. Bertrand of Kiawah Island, SC; brother, Henry A. Lock of Oregon; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her adopted daughter and grandchildren, Mimi Nodine and Benjamin and Emma. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her children Bertha Pauline and Wendy Gay; brother Harold Lock; two sisters Marienia Smith and Bonnie Fair.
