Joyce Ardelle Newberry

Joyce Ardelle Newberry, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 24, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 27, 2014, at 2:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Sunday, October 26, 2014, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Joyce was born October 2, in Alexandria Bay, New York. She was the daughter of the late Clark Newberry and Jessie Matthews Newberry. Joyce graduated from SUNY Geneseo where she received her Bachelor's Degree and she received her Master's Degree from SC State. She was a retired Speech Language Pathologist with Charleston County School District as well as a published author.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Rudnicki (Robert) of Phoenix, AZ; three sons, Vincent Rudnick of Charleston, SC, Walter Rudnick (Virginia) of Corning, NY and Brenden Rudnick (Yon-Hui) of Charleston, SC; sister, Nancy Martin of North Syracuse, NY; brother, Royce Newberry of Alexandria Bay, NY; three grandchildren, Christine Rudnick, Elizabeth Rudnick and Guinevere Rudnick.
