Joyce Rhode Hunter

Joyce Rhode Hunter, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Jackie Willard Hunter entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the Downtown Chapel.

Joyce was born May 20, 1942 in Dillon, South Carolina, daughter of the late Charles Rhode and Mertis McRae Rhode. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity Catholic Church.

Joyce is survived by her son, Bryan W. Hunter of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, Randolph W. Hunter (Patty) of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren: Michael Lee Hunter of Tyler, TX and Trenton Bryan Hunter of Charleston; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Michael W. Hunter.
