Joyce Weinheimer Hill, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Edwin B. Hill, Jr. entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King Street at 11:30 a.m. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street.

Joyce was born January 13, 1932 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Charles August Weinheimer and Ida Edwins Weinheimer. She graduated from Memminger High School, attended the College of Charleston and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was a retired medical technician who enjoyed playing Bridge,watching golf, boating, walking on the beach, travel, and cruising the Intracoastal Waterway; Baltimore to Key West. Joyce was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, treasurer of the South Windermere Garden Club, and The Arion Society Auxiliary. She was the mother and grandmother of four Eagle Scouts.

In addition to her husband, Ed, she is survived by three children: E. Burrow Hill, III (Helen), David P. Hill (Mary Beth) and Cathy H. Singletary (Jeff), all of Charleston, SC; brother, Charles A. (Caroline) Weinheimer, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; seven grandchildren: Charlie Hill, Martin Hill (Blythe), Turner Hill, John David Hill (Keri), Matthew Hill (Elizabeth), Catherine Singletary, and Douglas Singletary; and three great-grandchildren: Aiden, Millie, and Owen.
