Joyce "Nana" Dunbar, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal peace Thursday, October 24, 2013. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Joyce was born October 10, 1932 in Alpoco, West Virginia.
She is survived by her two daughters: Joye McGuiness of Hanahan, SC and Robin Bostick of Charleston, SC; son Stephen "Chief" Dunbar of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren: Kelli McGuiness, Rachel Dunbar, Shelby Dunbar, Ashley Lugo and Anthony Lugo; two great-grandsons: Tanner and Talon Yates: daughter-in-law: Maria Dunbar; dear friend Joey Bulgarino, and her beloved dog Bella.
To know Joyce was to love her. She was a strong willed woman who always spoke her mind. She was known for her quick wit and sharp humor. Her family was her greatest joy. She leaves a legacy of love, joy and compassion to us all. Her departure will leave a void in our lives, but now she is free and in a better place.

Per Joyce's final wishes, she will be cremated and requested no memorial service.
