Joyce Parker Carrigg

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of Saturday, August 21, 2010, Joyce Parker Carrigg, wife of W. O. "Oakey" Carrigg.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. "Oakey" Carrigg are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at Eleven o'clock.  Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414 on Tuesday between six and eight o'clock.
 

Mrs. Carrigg was born January 28, 1943 in Savannah, GA the daughter of Arthur Dean Parker and Dorothy Baskin Parker.  She was the former co-owner of C&C Radiator Shop as well as owner of various other businesses.  She was also a former 16 year employee of Ashley River Animal Hopsital.                   . 

She is survived by her husband of Charleston, SC; two sons, Wallace O. "Wally" Carrigg, Jr. of Summerville, SC and William Dean Carrigg of Johns Island, SC; two daughters, Karen Joyce Carrigg Ross of Charleston, SC and Kimberly Lynn Carrigg of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister, Beryldean Parker Winter of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren, Robert Ross, Jr., Joy Ross, Lauren Carrigg, Parker Moore, Kristina Carrigg, Stephen Blake Carrigg, Jackson Dean Carrigg and Bryce Rivers Carrigg; two great grandchildren, Jayden Rylee Pena and Daylin Eric Nason.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Beverly Parker Belding.
