Joyce D. Cannady, 87, formally of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 31, 2024. Her Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Joyce was born June 29, 1937 in Marion, South Carolina, daughter of the late Daniel Walker Drew and the late Ruby McCumber. She graduated from Winthrop University and Received her Master's from Appalachian State University. She began her teaching career in Latta, SC and retired from Wando High School. She loved Georgia Football and went many years without missing a game. 

She is survived by her brother, Lawton Drew; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Cannady; first Husband, Reginald Gasque; and brother, Charles Ray Drew.
