Joyce Eleanor White Brown

Joyce Eleanor White Brown, 81, of Ridgeville, South Carolina, wife of the late M.C. Brown died Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held at the graveside on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Joyce was born August 19, 1936 in Shulerville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Arthur Franklin White and Sue Danie White White. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Joyce loved to read and do her gardening.

She is survived by six sons, Earl Butch Durgin (Angela) of Awendaw, SC, Lester C. Durgin (Nancy) of Ridgeville, SC, David Durgin (Peggy) of McClellanville, SC, Mark Durgin (Linda) of Columbus, OH, Gary Durgin (Jo Ann) of McClellanville, SC and Richard Durgin (Tanja) of Saint Robert, MO; one daughter, Linda Durgin of Florence, SC; two brothers, Daniel White of Hanahan, SC and Aimar White (Mary Ann) of Conway, SC; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and three brothers.
