Joseph Isaac Williams

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of November 12, 2010, Joseph Isaac Williams, Jr., husband of Frances Culpepper Williams. Residence,  Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Williams are invited to attend his funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Sunday, November 14, 2010 at one-thirty o'clock.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway this Saturday evening from six until eight o'clock. 

Mr. Williams was born on November 4, 1924 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Joseph Isaac Williams, Sr. and Mary Lynn Bevis Williams.  He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy and National Guard.  Mr. Williams was a retired Shipfitter with the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Williams of Mount Pleasant; son, Joseph Isaac Williams, III  (Alexandra) of Mount Pleasant; daughter, Peggy Winter of Walterboro, SC; brother, Robert Williams (Mary Helen) of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Kimberly Ross (John), Elizabeth Williams, Joseph Isaac Williams, IV, Dee Bee Wright (John); and a great grandson, Nathaniel Ross.

The family has requested that memorials may be made in his memory to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC  29406.
