Joseph Ronald Sacca

Joseph Ronald Sacca, 87, of Charleston, SC, husband of the late Olinda Sacca, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 13, 2022. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd. at 11:00 am. Rite of committal will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, January 17 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy.

Joseph was born on May 23, 1934 in New York City, NY, son of the late Fortunato Sacca and the late Dorothy Miller. Joseph was a veteran of the US Navy and served our country proudly from 1952 until he retired in 1972. He also taught CPR through the Red Cross for 30 years, and worked for Exxon Chemical for approximately 20 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Anna Sacca; 6 grandchildren, Shawna Gill, Patrick Callahan, Kayla Braddy, Kyle Roess, Caroline Whitten and Emily Roess; and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph R. Sacca Jr.
