Joseph John Nicolini

Joseph John Nicolini, 77, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Carole Duffy Nicolini passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 in Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive at 10:30 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Mepkin Abbey Columbarium, 1098 Mepkin Abbey Road, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Joe was born May 8, 1936 in Trenton, New Jersey, son of the late Nicola and Candida Rutolo Nicolini. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was in corporate purchasing for Chemical Research and Development at FMC Corporation, and Elan Pharmaceuticals in Princeton, NJ. Joe was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church and was known for his infectious laugh and generous and caring spirit.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carole Duffy Nicolini, of Mount Pleasant, SC; his son, Joseph Reese (Jacqueline) Nicolini, DO, PhD, of San Diego, CA; and his sister, Christine (Daniel) Locko of Hamilton Township, NJ, and cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
