Joseph John Neri, 89, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 1, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Entombment with military honors will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends Friday, November 3 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the rosary at 6:00 pm in Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Joseph was born September 19, 1934, in Buffalo, New York, son of the late Russell Neri and the late Susan Prestia Neri. Joe had a long career as an engineer in the fields of electronics and semi-conductors. He was a Navy veteran and member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered most for the way he loved his family and friends, his outgoing personality, and his sense of humor. 

He is survived by his son and three daughters, Russell Neri (Noreen), Lynn Ansbach (Richard), Susan Hensch (Tim), and Joanne Leonardi (Garrett); eleven grandkids who affectionately called him Poppy, Christopher (Samantha), Daniel (Adrienne), Ryan (Shirneth), Christina, Melissa (Ben), Jenna (Stephen), Courtney (Michael), Brian, Andrew, Stephanie, Adam (Jordan); ten great-grandkids who knew him as G-Pop, Caroline, Chase, William, Spree, Montana, Tinsley, DeAngelo, Daimen, Davyna, and Baby Boy Ansbach; and siblings, Michael Neri (Eleanor), and Richard Neri (Martha). He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Carole Ann Billings Neri, and brother, Russell Neri.
