Joseph Robert Maggitti, Sr.

Joseph Robert Maggitti, Sr., 72, of Awendaw, South Carolina, husband of Ann Marie Maggitti passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in Stella Maris Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivans Island at 1:00 pm. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held at a later date in Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery, Millersville, MD. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm at the J. HENRY STUHR INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, with the Rosary being recited at 11:00 am.

Mr. Maggitti was born March 12, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of late Victor Joseph and Rose Personti Maggitti. He was a retired Accountant with the Medical University of South Carolina. A member of Stella Maris Catholic Church, he enjoyed fishing, especially on his trips to Canada.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Maggitti of Awendaw, SC; his sons, David Maggitti of Florence, SC, Joseph R. Maggitti, Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Westminster, MD, Victor A. Maggitti of Hagerstown, MD, Jason J. Maggitti and his wife, Valerie of Houston, TX; his daughter, Zena M. Maggitti of Chestertown, MD; his brother, Victor J. Maggitti, Jr. of Philadephia, PA; and seven Grandchildren,.
