Joseph Michael Key

Joseph Michael Key, 78, of The Villages, Florida, husband of Connie Key, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 11, 2025. His Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends Friday, May 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel.

Michael was born February 16, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Doris Lane Schilling from Charleston, SC, the late Rusty Key (step-father) and the late Peggy Key (step-mother) from Vista, CA . He was retired as a Certified Meeting Planner with Transamerica Corporation. Michael was a US veteran in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Charleston High School and The Citadel.

Along with his wife of 44 years, Joseph is survived by his son, Andrew Michael Key (Lauren); two grandchildren, Rebecca Allyson Key and Christian Clark Key;

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Allyson Jordan Key; and sister, April Mitchum.
