Born on James Island, SC on April 21, 1957 to Miriam Hunt Johnson and the late Harold E. Johnson, Sr., a true southern brother in arms went to be with the Lord on Christmas morning, 2010.  He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sherry Lynn Waugh Johnson, a son, Steven Michael Johnson, and daughter-in-law, Casi Glassburn Johnson, a son, Joseph Daniel Johnson, and daughter-in-law, Pamela MacAloney, and two grandchildren, Isabelle and Ian.  He is also survived by his loving mother, Miriam Hunt Johnson, two brothers, Harold E. Johnson, Jr., Gerald A. Johnson, and fianc, Nikke Edwards, a sister, Darla Johnson Beckman, brother-in-law, Michael Anthony Beckman, a sister, Lori Johnson Dennis, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Dennis.  He is also survived by four nephews, four nieces, and two great-nieces.

Known to all as Michael, his big heart and big hands embraced all he touched with charity and strength, for he loved with no other thought or purpose than to give of himself to his family and friends.  He had a career of 35 years in the power plant construction industry as a superintendent.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating, and being PaPa to his beloved grandchildren.  He will be missed by all as he was and is our strength.  Michael was a member of James Island Baptist Church and was a Mason.

"Deo Vindice" dear Michael, your angels are on the wing.
