Joseph Franklin Jackson, 89, of Round O, South Carolina, died Friday, July 8, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service.
Frank was born January 4, 1927 in St. Stephen, South Carolina, son of the late Walter Leroy Jackson and the late Ada Victoria Williams. He was the owner of Frank's Meat Market in Charleston. In addition to pulling pranks on his family, Frank enjoyed fishing, outdoor wildlife and bird watching. He received great comfort as a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Round O.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph Franklin (Janet) Jackson Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC, Timothy S. Jackson of Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Cheryl L. (Skip) Turner of Round O, Mary Theresa Holmes of Mt. Pleasant, Elizabeth J. (David) Wood of Estill, SC, Lilly "Tootie" Revell of Round O; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary S. Jackson, four brothers, one sister, one grandson and one son in law.
