Joseph Robert Gallagher Jr.

Joseph Robert Gallagher, Jr., 73, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at his home. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Cindy) Teeter of Mt. Pleasant, SC, daughter, Barbara Gallagher of Pittsburgh, PA., son, Robert (Bob) Gallagher, Portsmouth, VA., sister, Virginia (Ginny) Zemaitis, Pittsburgh, PA., and by nieces, a nephew, and many cousins. He was the son of the late Joseph R. Gallagher and the late Caroline Chajewski Gallagher. 

Joe lived in Mt. Pleasant and previously lived in Pittsburgh, where he was born and raised. He attended South Hills Catholic High School (now Seton Lasalle), Duquesne University, Pittsburgh PA., Gannon University, Erie, PA.

He loved to talk to people and his gift was solidified with a kiss of the Blarney Stone.

Joe wanted to leave a message for all his friends and relatives. Afterglow,
"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing ties and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave behind when life is done."
