Joseph Herndon Ferguson, Sr., aged 67, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Born on May 31, 1958, in Charleston, South Carolina, Joseph was the son of the late Lonnie Green Ferguson, Jr., and the late Dorothy Herndon Ferguson.

Joseph dedicated his professional life to the trade of electrical work within the construction industry. Joseph enjoyed the company of friends and was fond of sharing a cocktail with them.

He leaves behind children, Joseph and Caroline, and his brother, Lonnie Green Ferguson III of Mount Pleasant. Among those who held him dear was his friend and former employer, Mike Richardson of Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, whose friendship was a valued part of Joseph’s life. Additionally, he is remembered by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family, friends, and acquaintances are invited to gather and celebrate Joseph’s life at his graveside service on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at noon, at the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens located at 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.
