Joseph Edward Barbarisi

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 9, 2010, Joseph Edward Barbarisi, Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Saturday, June 12, 2010, at four o'clock.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Saturday from three o'clock until time of service.

Mr. Barbarisi was born on October 29, 1930 in Patterson, New Jersey to the late Joseph Edward Barbarisi, Sr. and Jessie Jonkman Barbarisi.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Korean War veteran and was a retired Textile Machine Operator.  Mr. Barbarisi was of the Catholic faith, avid golfer, and member of Shadowmoss Country Club

Surviving are four daughters, Lori Sommer of Hawthorne, NJ, Robbin Sacharoff of Montebello, NY, Jill Backherms of Tuscon, AZ, Lisa Barbaris of NY, NY; two sons, Brian Barbarisi of Tuscon, AZ and Joseph E. Barbarisi, III of Woodcliff Lake, NJ; two sisters, Norma Ciaburi of St. Simons, GA, Lorraine Lange of Middletown, DE; two brothers, John Barbarisi of Southbury, CT and Roy Barbarisi of Charleston; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild.  Mr. Barbarisi is also survived by his companion, Patricia Welling of Charleston.
