Jose L Pineiro

Jose L Pineiro, (USAF Msgt. Ret.), 57, of Ladson, South Carolina, husband of Nancy Pineiro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 30, 2023. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, at 3:00 pm.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service.  

Jose was born April 27, 1966 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, son of  the late Jesus Pineiro and Julia Quintero Pineiro of Garfield, NJ.  He was retired from the US Air Force.  Jose enjoyed working as an electrician, doing home projects, woodworking, cooking for his family and friends, dancing, playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his wife.  Jose truly loved weekly gatherings with his family, working on puzzles and anything that challenged his mind. Jose especially enjoyed playing dominos, listening to salsa music, and most of all a family movie night.  Jose was an avid New York Giants fan and loved fantasy football, which he got to enjoy with his son David yearly.  Some of his fondest memories were coaching his kids in sports growing up, helping them with their school projects, road trips, and going on annual family vacations.  Jose left a lasting impact on not only his family but also his co-workers from the military and beyond.  Jose will be remembered for this infectious smile, sense of humor, character, and the ability to have a positive outlook no matter the circumstances.  Everyone who encountered Jose got to see how good of a human he was, as he was always one to lookout for others.  But most of all he will be greatly missed by his wonderful children and loving wife who is losing not only her life partner but her best friend and amazing father.  

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy; his mother, Julia; his son, David Louis (Taylor) Pineiro of North Charleston; daughters, Jennifer Lee (Chase) Pineiro of Ladson and Emily (Tyler) Pineiro of Ladson; grandchildren: Levi, Sofia & Javier; two brothers, Alberto Pineiro of Pickerington, OH and Jesus Pineiro of Luquillo, PR; two sisters, Maribel Pineiro of Garfield, NY and Luz Pineiro of Oviedo, FL; along with many nieces and nephews.
