Jonathan David Kennedy

Jonathan David Kennedy, 30, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 12, 2014. His funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Ashley River Baptist Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Jonathan was born April 21, 1983 in Charleston, SC, son of Capt. Curtis Gerald Kennedy, NCFD and Paula Smith Kennedy. He attended Ashley River Baptist Church. He was an honorary member of the North Charleston Fire Department, worked at Hope Center downtown and accompanied his Mommie on an early morning paper route. He was the first Diplomat for Carolina Childrens Charity, a season ticket holder to the Stingrays and a WWE fan. He had a healthy appetite.

He is survived by his father, Capt. Curtis Gerald Kennedy, NCFD of Moncks Corner, SC; mother, Paula Smith Kennedy of North Charleston, SC; maternal grandparents, Virginia and Luther Smith of Charleston, SC; paternal grandmother, Juanita Kennedy of Moncks Corner, SC; uncle, Steve Smith (June) of Goose Creek, SC, aunt, Janine Heydrick (Bob) of Casselberry, FL, aunt, Rebecca Smith (Don Schlag) of Moncks Corner, SC, uncle, Danny Smith of James Island, SC, aunt, Lillian Davis (Ralph) of North Charleston, SC, aunt, Gail Cobb of Moncks Corner, SC, aunt, Lynn Skelton (Jerry) of Goose Creek, SC, many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chief Jesse Kennedy, NC District Fire Dept. and uncle, Mathew W. Smith.
