John Harvey Williamson

John Harvey Williamson, Jr., 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Shirley Ann McGuire Williamson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 24, 2018. His funeral service will be held graveside Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Friday in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

John was born June 7, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late John Harvey Williamson and Ruby Huff Williamson. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy. John was with the H.R. Allen Electrical Contracting Company for over 46 years.

He is survived by his son, John "Jody" David Williamson (Carol); daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Smith (Thomas); three step-children: David Callahan (Barbara), Gayle Clodfelter and Terry Callahan; brother, Randy Williamson; sister, Linda Fairbanks; eight grandchildren: John Adam Williamson, Steven Dean Williamson, Ryan Urtz, Heather Callahan, Davie Callahan, Marissa Furtado, Christina Cooper and Danny Cooper; and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Sormrude.
