John Zeigler Williams, 71, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Deborah K. Stout Williams, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 24, 2014 in Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1122 Russell Drive. John was born March 23, 1942 in Florence, South Carolina, son of the late Col. George W. Williams and Marguerite Zeigler Williams. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a retired airline pilot with U.S. Airways. John was a member of Quiet Birdmen, and Christ Our King Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Deborah K. Stout Williams; his sons, John Z. Williams, Jr. and Deborah Bain of Longmont, CO, and Mark J. Williams and his wife, Patricia of La Mesa, CA; his granddaughters, Marguerite Williams and Geneive Williams, both of La Mesa, CA; his brothers, George W. Williams, Jr. and his wife, Carroll of Hilton Head Island, SC, James S. Williams and his wife, Delores of Wilmington, NC, and Thomas E. Williams and his wife, Susan of Hilton Head Island, SC; his uncle, John A. Zeigler, Jr. of Charleston, SC; many other family and friends; and his devoted four-legged friend, Jake.
