John Wierman, 82, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Fammie C. Wierman went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2013 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
John was born March 25, 1930 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Edward Wierman and Aline Wigger Wierman. Mr. Wierman was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and served in the assault and seizure of the Inchon, Seoul and Chosin Reservoir Campaigns during the Korean War. He attended Wando Woods Baptist Church. He retired from Rhodia Chemical Company after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Fammie Wierman of North Charleston; son, John R. Wierman (Jeannie) of Goose Creek; daughter, Kathy W. Jordan (Timmy) of James Island; three grandchildren, Kimberly and John Michael Wierman and Katie Jordan; sister, Helen Jagert of Chicago; aunt, Helen Carter of North Charleston and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Rudolph Wierman and Edward Wierman; sisters: Frances Jackson, Carolyn Ayers, Johanna Taylor and Aline Greene.
