John Robert Vehmeyer

John Robert Vehmeyer, 62, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Pamela Jean Colson Vehmeyer died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 4:00 until 6:00 pm.

John was born August 8, 1954 in Gary, Indiana, son of the late Henry Lincoln Vehmeyer, Jr. and the late Nancy Lee Fabing Vehmeyer. He retired after 35 years, as Director of Finance with Mondelez International. John enjoyed drives in his Corvette with the top down on a sunny day, walks along Shem Creek, watching his beloved Chicago Bears and most of all spending time with his children and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pamela Vehmeyer of Mount Pleasant; two sons, John Robert Vehmeyer, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Alexandria, VA, and Kyle Andrew Vehmeyer (Nicolette) of Alexandria, VA; brother, H. Lincoln Vehmeyer, III of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Carol Lee Vehmeyer of Westerville, OH and Jacquelyn Sue Vehmeyer of Narragansett, RI.
