John Louis Trombino, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Antoinette Iannello Trombino passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Rodenberg Chapel (Franke at Seaside), 1600 Franke Drive. Inurnment will follow in the Franke at Seaside Columbarium. John was born October 26, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama, son of the late Ferdinand Trombino and Bena Longo Trombino. A veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, he was a retired banker. John was a member of the VFW, and a parishoner at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. In his spare time, he liked to play cards, fish, bowl, and play golf. His greatest joy, however, was his family, and he was excited to welcome his first great-grandchild, Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Antoinette Trombino; his sons, Fred Trombino and his wife, Susan of Isle of Palms, SC, and John Trombino of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his granddaughters, Tracey Shor and her husband, Scott of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Christine Blackburn and her husband, Mark of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his great-grandson, Wyatt Shor of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his brother, Bernard Trombino and his wife, Barbara of New York City, NY. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Trombino
