Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 28, 2011, John Paul Sill, husband of Gladys Hollis Sill of Moncks Corner, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. John P. Sill are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 1:00 PM. Interment services of farewell with military honors will be in Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr's North Area Chapel on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Mr. Sill was born on May 25, 1946 in Wilmington, DE the son of Frank Leslie Sill and Mary Elizabeth Tucker Sill. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict and a past commander of the VFW Post 3142. John served with the Holloway Terrace Volunteer Fire Department in New Castle, DE. He was retired Civil Servant with the Department of Defense.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hollis Sill; two sons, Brian P. Sill and Mark A. Sill all of Moncks Corner, SC; two sisters, Helen Jackson and her husband Ed of Millsboro, DE and Ann Herrin and her husband Woodie of Hockessin, DE; brother, Francis L. Sill and his wife Lorraine of Townsend, DE; two grandchildren, Brittany Rucker and Tanner Kinard. He is additionally survived by several close in laws of the Hollis family and nieces and nephews.
