John Norman Ruppert

July 30, 1947 — November 5, 2014

John Norman Ruppert, Jr., 67, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 5, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in International Church of God. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

John was born July 30, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, son of the late John Norman Ruppert and Cora Ramsey Ruppert. He graduated from Chicora High School in 1965. John was a 30 year announcer for North Charleston High School Football Team and was a former employee of Cooper River Parks and Playgrounds.

He is survived by his three sisters, Barbara R. Gaines and husband Bob, Polly R. Wireman and husband Charlie, Pam R. Floyd and husband Stafford all of Charleston, SC; a sister-in-law, Mary Ruppert of Augusta, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jim Ruppert.

Memorials may be made to International Church of God, (Benevolent Fund), 1560 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
