John B. Rabon, 86, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 16, 2024 with his daughter by his side. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am.  Interment to follow at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, Aynor, SC. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service.

John was born August 23, 1937 in Conway, SC, son of the late George T. Rabon and the late Florrie Rogers Rabon.  He was active in Beacon Church as the retired song director and a Deacon.  He enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

He is survived by son, James E. Rabon (Angie) of James Island, SC; two daughters, Donnie Dale Tysk (Ben) and Michelle Curley (James); brother, Vernell Rabon all of Goose Creek, SC; four grandchildren, Joshua Tysk of Summerville, SC, Ryan Curley (Jenna) of Lathrop, CA, Casey Curley (Dani) of Simpsonville, SC and James M. Rabon of Mt. Pleasant, SC; great-grandchildren: Alice, Maggie, Ferris and Maverick. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Addie Ruth Barnhill Rabon; sisters, Bertie Collins, Essie Rabon and Thorene R. Alford.
